Glenn
B. LeMunyon
Mr.
Glenn LeMunyon is the President of LeMunyon Group, L.L.C., a
Washington, D.C. based full service government affairs practice. Previously, Mr. LeMunyon spent nearly four years as a senior
lobbyist for Winston & Strawn, a large Chicago-based law firm.
Mr. LeMunyon has worked effectively in the past with clients in many
issue areas including: American Airlines, Lockheed Martin, Verizon, Honda North
America, Alliance Airport, Port of Brownsville, National Geographic, Marinette
Marine, Yellow Corporation, Union Pacific, and Fannie Mae.
He maintains extremely close Member and staff contacts in the House and
the Senate, Leadership, and in the appropriations and infrastructure committees. Prior
to joining Winston & Strawn in, he served as a policy/floor assistant to
House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX). Mr. LeMunyon was responsible for
managing appropriations legislation and measures in the areas of transportation
and defense for the Majority Whip. He
played a key staff role in securing votes to pass legislation, and participated
in all top-level meetings with House Leadership and Leadership staff.
Prior
to Mr. DeLay's rise to Majority Leader, Mr. LeMunyon served as Mr. DeLay's
Associate Staff for the Committee on Appropriations. In this capacity, Mr.
LeMunyon's focus was transportation, defense, and public works issues.
He served on Mr. DeLay's legislative team for 11 years. While
on the Hill, Mr. LeMunyon's select legislative achievements and awards (on
behalf of the Hon. Tom DeLay) include his pivotal role in securing an amendment
prohibiting the implementation of CAFE (fuel) standards for automobiles; his
successful strategies for securing funding for cost-effective transit properties
in Texas; and the implementation of a successful strategy to repeal Section 89
(health insurance/labor provision) of the Tax Code through an amendment on an
appropriations vehicle. Mr.
LeMunyon has participated in a number of legislative efforts including TEA-21
reauthorization, AIR-21 reauthorization, ergonomics prohibition, National
Highway System legislation, airline fuel tax reduction, and many appropriations
projects. Mr.
LeMunyon has had numerous roles in past Presidential, federal, state, and local
elections and political conventions. Mr.
LeMunyon graduated from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso Indiana, in 1983, and
received an M.A. in National Security Studies from Georgetown University,
Washington, D.C., in 1993. Kaitlyn
A. Saxe
Kaitlyn
Saxe is the latest addition to The LeMunyon Group.
Ms. Saxe comes straight from Capitol Hill where she was Director of
Office Resources in the personal office of Congressman Tom Reynolds, Chairman of
the National Republican Congressional Committee.
During her time of service in Congressman Reynolds' office, Ms. Saxe
focused on special projects and worked on building and maintaining coalitions. Prior to working
for Mr. Reynolds, Kaitlyn was Assistant Director of Coalitions for the House
Republican Conference under Chairman J.C. Watts, Jr.
In that role, she was
instrumental in coalition building and working with the House Leadership and
various outside groups to pass numerous pieces of legislation, including: Trade
Promotion Authority, the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, and
President Bush’s first Economic Stimulus Bill. Before coming to
Capitol Hill, Ms. Saxe worked at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where she
supported several lobbyists by doing research and compiling the Chamber’s
annual “How They Voted” manual as well as planning events for both Members
of Congress and members of the Chamber. Ms. Saxe
graduated from American University, Washington D.C., in 2000, with a B.A. in
Political Science. |
